Pigs in the yard!
By Tina Smith of SugarSky Design
My friend Linda lives on a large piece of land with her family, 9 dogs and several chickens. Around her property are these wild boars and pig families that have grown ridiculously and she feeds them. OH NO! that meant trouble for her home, because forty pigs and piglets started digging up her front yard and eating her dogs food and the chicken feed. At night it sounds like "Attack of the Pigs", with all of those grumbling and screaming sounds, Ha! I said "Linda stop feeding them", her reply was, Oh I love my piggies, OH NO! Next, the pigs started digging under her house and eating all of the fruit from the yard and actually eating everything in the yard, Sheesh, when would it stop? Finally, after her husband was tired of chasing the dogs who were grabbing the piglets and making the Hogs angry, he had enough and by now there were 87 pigs running around their house! The whole family began building a fence around the house to keep the pigs out. So far everything is okay but, there will be a part II, I am sure (smile), besides those pigs are smart and they will be back!

Had to laugh, what a monster she has come to create- :)
Responsible pig care involves spaying the sows or neutering the boars as soon as the pig reaches six months of age. I'd LOVE to keep a family of pigs for their delightful company and to prove to the community around here what hygienic, intelligent, and beautiful creatures they are, but I'm sure that someone will steal and eat one of my hygienic, intelligent, and beautiful creatures.
